8. 29 May 1806 Printed programme of school fete addressed to E H, Calne, from Mr Deputy, Goddebeherd Academy, 7 Bird in the Hand Court, Cheapside, Lon.

Eliza was employed as Widow - Visitor- 62 yrs, birthplace unknown in 1851 in 3 Hales Place, Sth Lambeth.

255Mvii. Henry Hale was born21 on 22 Dec 1822 in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. He died on 2 Jul 1895 in of Bridge St, Korumburra,Vic. He was buried on 4 Jul 1895 in Korumburra Cemetery,Vic.

Henry emigrated on 24 Jun 1837 from From London on "Resource" to Sydney, NSW. He emigrated on 28 May 1845 from "Louisa", Convict to Tasmania. He was employed as Labourer in 1876 in Cunninghame, VIC. He was employed as Baker, Sawyer, Overseer, Labourer.

Died aged 73 yrs. No issue listed on death certificate despite his son filling it out.

Mother - Elizabeth. Brothers - Edwin?, Alfred, Christopher, Sister - Charlotte, St James Park. CON 37/2 - Arrived TAS on "Louisa" - 28 May 1845. Tried 8 Mar 1845 - given 15 years. Highway Robbery with F Green. Description = Sailor by trade, height 5 ft, 7 1/2 inches, age 23 yrs, Light complexion, small head, light brown hair, small sandy whiskers, long visage, narrow forehead, sandy eyebrows, grey eyes, medium nose, mouth, chin. Native place - Trowbridge. Protestant. Can read and write. Large scars above both knees. Recommended for Ticket of Leave 8 Oct 1851 - approved CP 4 Oct 1853. Worked for Wm McLaren Collins St 28 Dec 1849 & to Ann Clothier, Glenorchy, with notice not to reside in any district south of Oatlands 19 Aug 1851. A letter Henry wrote to his brother Alfred had a return address for H HILL, MacArthur Street, Sale, VIC. Brig Lousia salied from Sydney on 22May 1845 to Hobart.

Henry married (1) Sarah Clothier daughter of John Clothier and Anne Alden on 27 Jan 1852 in District Chapel of Kensington, Glenorchy, TAS. Sarah was born22 on 2 Feb 1834 in Bagdad, Tas. She was christened on 5 Mar 1834 in St David's Church, Hobart, Tas. She died on 6 Aug 1866 in Swan Reach Station, Vic. She was buried on 9 Aug 1866 in Swan Reach Station, Vic.

Sarah was employed as Housekeeper & Servant. She was employed23 as In Charge - Proprietor Mrs McLaren in 1848 in New Norfolk, TAS.

Her mother married 2 weeks before Sarah was born. Died @ 31 yrs from "Disease of the Lungs" which she had suffered for 4 yrs. New Norfolk Census Parish No 1, CEN1/91. Sarah Clothier in charge. Proprietor Mrs McLaren. 1 married male 21-45, other free person. 1 male 2-7, born in colony, 2 females 2-7 & 2 females 7-14 all born in colony. 1 single male 45-60 ticket of leave, as a servant.

Henry married (2) Mary Fawdon daughter of William Fawdon and Mary Fraenstney on 15 Feb 1876 in Wesleyan Methodist Church, Bairnsdale, VIC. Mary was born about 1822 in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Mary was employed as Domestic in 1876 in Cunninghame, VIC.

Had 10 children - 7 died before 1876. Henry Hale left his address as c/o H HILL, Cabinet Maker, MacArthur St, Sale. He may be Mary's husband. On MC says she had 3 living & 7 deceased children = 10.

256Mviii. Christopher Hale was born24 on 25 Mar 1824. He died in USA.

Christopher was employed as Miner on 18 Mar 1855 in Salter Creek, Amador Co, California, USA. He was employed as Miner on 30 Aug 1857 in Stuart Flat Secret Ravine, Placer Co, California.

Took the name - FREDERICK. Went to CALIFORNIAN GOLD RUSH. Letters to Alfred - signed F C Hale. Maybe bap Christopher Frederick

203. Timothy Hale (Walter Hale, Edward Hale, Edward Hale, Male (Richard) Hale, Richarde Hale, Johis (John) Hale als Pylsdon, Anthonye) was born on 1 Feb 1744 in Calne, Wiltshire.

Timothy married Catherine Bailey on 4 Jun 1771 in St Martin in the Fields, MDX.
