George Long HALE's mother, by his own confession in his Will, is Mary NAISH, being the sister of George Long Hale's uncle Robert NAISH of Austin Friars.

NOTES:

Frederick Hale was staying with Edward's uncle (name unknown) at Hale's Place, Retreat, Vauxhall, Surrey in 1833 according to his letter written to his brother, Alfred. The family had gone bust about this time in the depression of 1830 in Trowbridge, Gloucestershire & Uncle was helping out. However, I don't think his family came from there originally. Most (who lived long enough) say they are born in London on census. Grandchildren of Edward's were found living in Wimbledon later on. Wife of Edward, Eliza, was visiting relatives in Kent in letter of Christopher's. Unfortunately no names or place names are given.
